Vlad's Personal Info.

Thank you for visiting. My name is not really Vladimir Mokolokov. I am Cary. I was a student at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, FL. The whole Vlad story started as a joke when I wrote and submitted a weird poem to a literature instructor (thanks to Prof. Vega). He was an instructor that I knew, and I submitted it to him requesting that he comment on it and let me know if it was any good. I signed it "from Vladimir Mokolokov" which is a name that I made up off the top of my head. I left the poem in an owl shaped noteholder he had outside his faculty office door (I requested that he leave his response to me in the folder). When after a few weeks I never got a response from him, I wrote another poem and submitted it in the same manner. He didn't respond to that one either. Realizing that it was unlikely that he was going to leave me a note in his noteholder, I surmised that it was necessary for a more direct, assertive approach. I looked up his e-mail address and e-mailed him the next poem. To this I received a response.

After this, I began submitting poems to him regularly (every few weeks). All the time, he was not aware that Vlad was actually the person he had known as Cary. So far, I have not had the opportunity to reveal to him my true identity. Until I do, I remain... "Vlad" (see update on the response page).

Now for some truly personal info. My name is Cary, I am married (wife: Laura). I have two grown children. I live in Lake Worth, Florida. I was a business student at Palm Beach State College. After the 1999 summer term, I transferred to Palm Beach Atlantic University where I received a BS degree in Organizational Management. In late 1999, I began an internship position at the South Florida Water Management District. From there I transferred to a permanent position doing hydrometeorological data analysis. After three years at the SFWMD, I took a position at a manufacturing company named Holland Pump, Mfg. as Information Services Manager. That job only lasted for a few months, but it prepared me for my next job as Manager of Information Services at Farm Credit of Florida. I was there from June of 2003 to December 2011. In January 2012, I started working an IT Director at Cenvill Recreation in West Palm Beach; I feel like I have found a niche that I enjoy.

All the poems written on this site were composed by me. None of the images are mine, but they were all created by friends and family members at one time or another. The image credited to Klaud Mokolokov was drawn by my older brother Keith...

Well, that's all the info for now, I'll be adding more stuff as I have the opportunity. Thanks again for visiting.
